Summary/Abstract: The paper considers some specific features in the lexicographic representation of neologisms in the academic neology dictionaries of the Bulgarian language. These characteristics are determined by the peculiarities of polysemy and synonymy in this type of lexis. The author discusses some problems in the lexicographic description of the semantic structure of ambiguous new borrowings and outlines the criteria for selection of a dominant synonym in a synonym group of neologisms.
