Summary/Abstract: Nigeria is a country associated with oil wealth, ubiquitous corruption and Boko Haram’s terrorist activities. All this means that despite having the necessary resources and the theoretical capacity for economic development, being one of the wealthiest countries in Africa does not lead to its flourishing. What is more, 2018 showed that another problem is gaining strength, namely the functioning of the Fulani extremists, through whom the number of deaths from attacks in Nigeria is steadily increasing. Will the corrupt Nigerian authorities be able to counter the new wave of terror in the country effectively?
