Summary/Abstract: The text emphasizes that the political necessity in a course of realization of democracy is the realization of citizenship for all citizens; immediate cease of all kinds of discrimination was stressed in text as the political framework of the issue. Legal recognition of women's couples is more significant, having more profound political meaning in the course of feminist struggle against social discrimination of women, becoming therefore an inevitable part of feminist agenda. The experiences in dealing with the same-sex couples recognized legally, was analyzed in the article. So-called “Nordic” or better to say “European” type of registered partnership is compared with American legal institutions of “domestic partnership” and same sex marriage, What is common for both ways is obvious proliferation of legal rights for lesbian/gay partners, which means heading towards equalizing their communities with traditional marriage.
