Summary/Abstract: The School for Democracy is a program of Expert Forum (EFOR) that aims to create an innovative learning environment for teachers who want to discover alternative, modern and effective tools for teaching civic education in Romania. The program started in 2013 with our desire to support teachers in their efforts to help young people become active citizens and involves 6 days of training where the participating teachers discover alternative learning tools, learn concepts related to democracy, justice, the rule of law, public participation and explore non-formal tools to transform working with young people into an interactive and participatory process. Following the training, we support teachers in transforming their communities by facilitating the implementation of grassroots civic projects.
