Summary/Abstract: The starting point of the analysis is the hypothesis that a strong labor movement (i .e. a strong social democratic party and a unitary trade union movement) represents a favorable condition for the establishment of corporatist relations. As far as Slovenia is concerned Slovenian social democratic parties are neither strong, nor is Slovenian trade union movement unitary, because the dominant social cleavage is more of a cultural-value than of an Interest nature.
