Summary/Abstract: Zombie walks impersonate certain type of the carnival, organized all around the world in purpose of promoting horror genre. Considering metaphorical aspects of zombie cinematography, zombie walk carries certain social criticism and indicates some of the anxieties of modern times, such as fear of infectious diseases, growth of capitalism, social inequalities, etc. The paper will analyze ways in which zombie walk resembles Bakhtin's features of the carnival, in purpose to point out metaphorical aspects of the manifestation.
