Summary/Abstract: The author discusses the triple process of salvation as the process of transfiguration of soul through prayer and ascetic struggle, leading up an ascent through virtue to spiritual knowledge and culminating in theology. It is, in fact, the liturgical soteriology of Saint Maximus the Confessor, which is related to the understanding of salvation as a transfiguration. In this sense, the author emphasizes important steps to salvation: ascetic struggle, persevere in virtue, contemplation, knowledge of divine things, transformation and deification of man which are shown in hymnography of the Feast of Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
