Summary/Abstract: Resulting from the data collected during fieldwork in 2019 in villages of Sokolac, Lugovet and Zlatica (Romania), this paper scrutinizes the role of the wedding in the creation and manifestation of ethnic identity of Serbian minority in the villages of Poljadia from the beginning of 1970s, that is, in the period of the relative restraint of the community with regard to entering ethnically heterogeneous marriages
