Summary/Abstract: In the current context in which the prevention of the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus/ COVID-19 has become a global theme and after 12 years of analysis by the European Union, telemedicine should have benefited from a coherent, sustainable and strong legislative framework in Romania, it should have been implemented from a logistical perspective and promoted in society, in order to become a constant practice, and today it should have been one of the main weapons in the "war" against this virus. Instead, in Romania, telemedicine is still an embryo from a legal perspective, an enigma from a logistical perspective and it is almost unknown at the social level. Throughout this article, we will try to provide an answer to the following issues: What is telemedicine? Is telemedicine a new concept in Romania?
