Summary/Abstract: New age is not a new concept, but the 21st century comes with an unprecedented development of literature related to the new age subject. Most of the books on the theme are presenting theories, experiences of various persons practicing a new age spirituality, are offering solutions based on a different approach to anything in human life: medicine, relationships, personal growth, fitness etc. New age passed from a niche concept to a large scale concept. In our opinion, we may not separate the concept of new age on sectors like literature, music, art, all of these being interconnected from their source to their result. Most of the new age “products” on the market are presented as created by the meditation process and bring to the public intertwined text and image, sometimes even music. Among the torrent of new age “products” we directly or indirectly are dealing with every day, our study follows two directions. First, we intend to present how can meditation produce literature intertwined with image, using volumes written by Daniela Andreescu: The Gift of Now, Under the Cinnamon Tree – Sub pomul de scorţişoară, How to pass over a rainbow. What to do when you don’t know what to do – Cum traversezi un curcubeu. Ce faci când nu mai ştii ce să faci, all volumes published by Herald Publishing House. Second, we intend to illustrate how this type of books may work to stimulate imagination, creating new literature and images through its main role and one of the base principle of new age: the awakening of a sleeping self-awareness and connectivity to the world around. We illustrate this second direction of our study using experiments we developed on students groups in gymnasium and college.
