Critical analysis of applicable national legislation on procurement and transplantation

Summary/Abstract: The procurement and transplantation of organs, tissues and cells of human origin represent medical procedures that must be carefully regulated by the legislator taking into account their major impact on the medical system, being a crucial tool in saving human lives. However, not infrequently the legislator has neglected certain aspects related to the medical reality of these operations, so we further propose a critical analysis of the legislative framework governing procurement and transplantation in order to highlight the perfectibility of the legal rules.
