Summary/Abstract: The rule of law, human rights and democracy are the cornerstones of modern societies. But the rule of law is a value as long as it reflects the principle of separation of powers. In Romania, the powers are separated and in balance. Constitutional Court oversees the maintenance of this relationship between the authorities. But some legislative and administrative changes are needed to increase the authority of the Court: the name of the institution, the appointment of members, the motivation of solutions.
