Summary/Abstract: One of the problems of the Romanian judicial system is the inequitable distribution of the volume of activity, represented by the number of cases that a judge has to solve in a period of time. Thus, some judges have to deal with twice as many cases as their colleagues, even though they are on the same hierarchical level. The digitalization of justice offers a solution to this problem, by equalizing the volume of activity according to the actual number of cases that a judge has at a certain moment. However, in order to apply this solution, it is necessary to modify, at least partially and temporarily, the traditional rule of distribution of cases according to the territorial jurisdiction of the court with the rule of their distribution according to the volume of activity of the court. Yet, as the benefits are obvious for both the judicial system and the litigants, we conclude that the solution is suitable.
