Summary/Abstract: Starting with March 2020, the Romanian judicial system has undergone an extensive procedure of adaptation to the new living conditions and human activity imposed by the expansion of the SARS Cov -2 pandemic in Romania. In this context, an attempt was made to maintain the activity of the courts (in terms of judging non / criminal cases), which involved a reconsideration of the vision of the need to implement technologies to facilitate the proper conduct of the judicial act. Therefore, the idea of accelerating the court digitization system was circulated, and a key point in this regard was the increasing use of the videoconferencing system in the hearing of participants. The videoconferencing system has found its applicability especially in criminal proceedings, and in the following we will discover and analyze practical aspects regarding its applicability in criminal cases
