Summary/Abstract: Islamic terminology in the Albanian language has a long range and tradition of use. Borrowed along with the Islamic faith, which was accepted by the Albanians, it occupied an important place in the communication of the people. In the beginning, it was more limited in religious services, in its daily life, but with the establishment of cultural, educational and religious institutions, it started to be used more and more. It has developed over the centuries, taking on wider use in the writings of authors, especially those of the alomloids, but has also been reflected in various dictionaries from Bardhi onwards. It had the greatest development during the time of the National Renaissance, with the establishment of various magazines and newspapers and especially on the occasion of the establishment of the Albanian Muslim Community. However, for various reasons, linguistic and extralinguistic, it remained someëhat overshadowed and its richness, which has already been present for a long time among the Albanian people, was not appreciated and valued. The coming to power of the communists slowed doën its pace of development and its treatment was derogative. This terminology, as well as terminology of other fields faces different problems. First, its representation in normative Albanian dictionaries has had and still has problems of accurately reflecting the meanings of certain terms, then its poor representation, when we consider the extent of its use. Secondly, and most importantly its lack of standardization, which creates major problems in the presentation of its terms correctly, because it is loaded with doubles and triples, which makes communication difficult. Therefore, it is an important task to standardize it to avoid any ambiguity about its meanings, to make it easier to use correctly, especially when translating the Qur'an, but also Islamic literature in general.
