Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the literary work of Petar Gudelj, a Croatian poet, editor, publisher and anthologist. The highlights are on essential stylistic, thematic and content features of his poetic opus, that exists as a separate, independent unit in the field of Croatian literature. The reader is also presented with his affiliation to the tradition of the people he originated from, a poetic universe set in a Mediterranean and karst landscape with all its characteristics and a poetic matrix that abounds in biblical and mythological reminiscences, historical and social events, existentialist and surrealist motives in literary creation.
