Summary/Abstract: In this article I have addressed the theme of social and cultural values, taking as its reference point the Christian-Orthodox religious views about society and about the human person. Thus, based on the model of the Triune community and the idea of communion with God and with other people, which the Church promotes, we described here concepts arising from this vision, namely: the concept of solidarity, interdependence and complementarity, reciprocity, the concept of responsibility, unity and diversity, as well as the concepts of tolerance, patriotism and progress. The design of the Church concerning the human person and the Crown of creation and of being created in the image and likeness of God, gives it duties and requirements, such as: the right to life, the right to work, property, equality, brotherhood and justice. To lead a life in the spirit of social values described above, but especially to accomplish the condition of chip and resemblance to the divinity, Christians should possess some qualities that require continuous training to become habitual. Although human virtues treated in Patristic literature are extremely numerous and varied, there are a few of them considered to be essential for a good Christian. In the article below I have tried to present these fundamental virtues for any Christian: meekness, humility, justice, righteousness, mercy, happiness, harmony, courage, strength of character, assuming the difficulties, faith, hope, love, ability to forgive, wisdom, patience, obedience, poverty, and the secondment of fortunes, lack of vices, simplicity, fear of God, knowledge, understanding, discernment and the right account, prudence and Temperance but, already, good and abstaining from evil, honesty, chastity, fidelity, trust, respect for the truth, joy, sense of humor, gratitude, generosity, trust, silence and politeness.
