Summary/Abstract: The phrases 'e-learning' and 'distance learning' are often used interchangeably, but they're actually two separate entities. The article examines the theoretical framework of e-learning, distance and blended learning. The focus is on teaching Bulgarian as a foreign language through e-learning and the Blackboard platform at the Medical University – Varna. Attention is paid to the techniques that the team of MU – Varna uses in teaching in an electronic environment.
