Summary/Abstract: The text presents the concept of the right of research participants not to be stigmatised. This is an element of the right not to be exploited and to be protected from harm. The issue is discussed through the analysis of three examples of research projects (on the LGBT* movement in Poland, on migrants working in Polish academia, and on fat people in Poland). The author also proposes three strategies for building research teams that would enable this right to be implemented. The advantages and disadvantages of these strategies are also discussed.
