Summary/Abstract: This work is devoted to the analysis of Una [estupenda] historia de dragones y princesas [más o menos] by Jordi Sierra i Fabra. The paper, primarily by the use of cognitive poetics (Stockwell, Minsky, Rumelhart, van Dijk), investigates how the implied adult author participates in the meaning-construction process in children’s literature. In Sierra i Fabra’s book the fairy tale’s narrative schema is refreshed with the aim of introducing the metatextual commentary in the text and defamiliarize the cognitive model of the classical act of reading. Thus, it creates the model child reader who is able to face postmodern literature just as the implied adult author wants him to.
