Summary/Abstract: Besides weapons and ammunition, one of the most important needs of armies is food. To understand this issue better, it is important to understand what the daily ration of a soldier is. As a result of the effect of the local procurement method used in the provision of daily rations to be given to the military, it has become obligatory to control the consumption of food by the people. For this reason, the consumption of some foodstuffs was taken under control and the amount of food that the people will consume daily, especially in big cities, was determined. In some areas where provision of supplies was insufficient, the Armies had to assist the civilian population. It is seen that there is not much research on daily ration in domestic and foreign literature until today. In this article, it was tried to determine the daily ration of Turkish soldiers during the First World War. The situation in the Palestinian Front was tried to be understood by comparing the Ottoman archive documents with the British archives. During the examination of the reports in the British archive, information about the daily ration of the allied German soldier as well as the British soldier was obtained. In this way, it was possible to compare the daily ration of the two armies. Bread, meat, vegetables, fruit and salt / spice to be used in three meals for daily allowance were determined in weight, and substitute materials were also determined.
