Summary/Abstract: This study aimed to examine the reading culture attitude levels of prospective Turkish teachers in terms of various variables. The study group of the study, which was conducted with descriptive survey model, was determined by simple random sampling, one of the random sampling methods. Participants consisted of 223 prospective teachers who were studying their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish Language Teaching in the academic year of 2018-2019. The data collected through the Reading Culture Scale were analyzed for gender, grade level, parental education level, liking to read, the number of pages read weekly and the number of books read during the year. According to the results of the study, the reading culture attitude levels of prospective Turkish teachers were above the average. This level differed significantly in favor of prospective female teachers in terms of gender variable, while it differed significantly in favor of 4th year students in terms of grade level variable. The level also showed similar characteristics in terms of parental education level. On the other hand, the attitude towards reading culture increased depending on the number of books read during the year and the number of pages read weekly.
