A Meta-Analysis on The Researches for Winter Tourism in Turkey

Summary/Abstract: As an alternative type of tourism winter tourism has gained importance terms of investment,number of tourists and academical research dimensions in Turkey. In this study, it is aimed to create a perspective by examining researches focused on winter tourism in different disciplines using meta-analysis. In this context, it is focused on revealing the similarities and differences between the findings of studies, interpretation and making new inferences by evaluating the studies on winter tourism using qualitative analysis. According to the results of the research,studies on winter tourism concentrate on tourism, geography, architecture and physical education. The prominent themes in the studies are related to the perceptions of the host community and visitors towards winter tourism, sustainability, landscaping, climate, tourism planning, and rural development.
