Summary/Abstract: Technological innovations and developments are important in terms of growing economically and acquiring competitiveness. These innovations and developments are made possible through Research and Development (R&D) studies. This study aims to determine the effect of R&D expenditures on economic growth for G8 countries (Germany, United States of America, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, Russia) through panel data analysis method through the annual data of period between 1997 and 2017. As a result of the study, empirical results show a positive and significant relationship between R&D expenditure and economic growth for G8 countries.
