Summary/Abstract: The concept of geopolitics entered the political literature in Turkey during the Second World War years. The concept was adopted by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) during the Cold War period. This study analyzes the geopolitical texts produced in Turkey during the Cold War with a critical geopolitical perspective. The study is based on the thesis that the military language was dominant in the geopolitical texts produced during the Cold War. Geopolitics, creating an extreme sensitivity for the protection of homeland based on the centrality and uniqueness of Turkey's geography rhetoric during the Cold War, served a normalizing function of the presence of the TAF in the policymaking process.
