Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the place of Skender Kulenović, primarily as a poet, but also as prose writer, in the canon of Bosniak literature. By commenting and criticizing antology work of Alija Isaković, Enes Duraković and Midhat Begić, author is looking for place for Kulenović in their vision of Bosniak literature. While doing that, author emphesizes that Kulenović as a poet, and primarily writer of sonnets, realizes the idea of estetic utopism which overcomes the absurdity of human existance with artistic endevoar, in spirit of existentialist philosphy. As such, Kulenović wasn’t suitable to became central literary figure. New generation of academic interpreters of mentioned anthologists has reserved central place for Mak Dizdar. Author of this article argues, using the example of Dizdar and Kulenović, but also Meša Selimović, that their methods contribute to retradicionalization of canon, as well as modern and postmodern Bosniak literature, with the goal of integrating literature into national ideology.
