Summary/Abstract: This study analyzes Krisztina Tóth’s lyric poetry and its connection with Hungarian lyric tradition. The main points of view of the research are the author’s reflective poetic attitude and ars poetica, the problem of dialogism, intertextuality, irony and narrativity. Our paper tries to situate Krisztina Tóth’s poetry in the Hungarian literary tradition, following and investigating these important questions. In the second part of the paper the volume of the author Síró ponyva is examined quite detailly. Our results concerning the poetic construction of the volume are based also on the micro-analysis of two poems, entitled Elegy and Diaporam.
