Throughout the study, two works have been compared by focusing on the social control methods used by the ruling governments as well as their similarities, differences and changes those depicted in the Orwellian model. In addition to analyzing the characteristics of totalitarian states, the methods used to keep people under control have been identified and explained. The systems are positioned as an antagonist figure in the face of the struggle of the protagonists. One can gain his freedom not by opposing the system, but by being one with the system, which means slavery. Surveillance mechanisms that develop with totalitarianism and developments that will result in misuse of science and technology are reflected in the works. It has been determined in this context that both authors make warnings that will affect the present by providing important data about the problems.
