Summary/Abstract: Tekfurdağ had an important geopolitical position for the Ottoman Empire during the First World War. It gains this importance since it is one of the closest bases to Istanbul during the war, it is one of the closest ports to the straits and it has both military headquarters and food warehouses within the provincial borders. When the city is evaluated in this respect, it has a warehouse feature to meet the needs of the army. On the other hand, it is a bridge feature in social movements and social life. Between 1914-1918, it had been one of the important routes used by immigrants from the borders of the Ottoman State, especially from the Balkan geography. Even immigrants stayed in Tekfurdağ until their dispatch and resettlement took place. Of course, apart from those who temporarily settled in the city, immigrants who were directly settled in Tekfurdağ and its surrounding districts also formed the residents of the 21st century city of Tekirdağ. The problem that is addressed within the scope of the subject is how the policy was implemented in Tekfurdağ and its surroundings, which is one of the settlements where the Ottoman Empire applied the compulsory Settlement policy in difficult war conditions.
