Summary/Abstract: Administrative geography plays a role in reflecting public services to spaces. Increasing administrative geography research will produce important data for detecting and solving the problems related to an administrative division. The aim of the study is to analyze the administrative geography of Ilgaz district and to create data in this field. In this context, the literature has been searched in accordance with the purpose of the study. The borders, current names and numbers of administrative units within the scope of the research have been reached from the relevant public institutions. All the data obtained by revising the boundaries of the village administrative areas of Ilgaz district have mapped and analyzed. Ilgaz has 76 administrative areas, one of which is urban and 75 of which are villages. Although the average population size in the district is 85 people, there are 25 village administrative areas with a total population of fewer than 50 people. The legal entity of some villages with low population needs to be removed.
