Summary/Abstract: This article refers to the work of the Institute of Hygiene in Skopje in the Kingdom of SCS/Yugoslavia. The overall maintenance of the population`s physical health was conducted by the Institute of Hygiene, which began working in 1925. Within its scope of work, the Institute of Hygiene tested the drinking water for the population of the city of Skopje, which in many premises was not drinkable. The Institute worked on improving the general health of the people and studied pathology of the illnesses especially regarding malaria. The Institute provided free medical exams, laboratory analyses and medications.
