Summary/Abstract: In the first three centuries of existence of the Christian Church in its ranks there were people with functions apostle, prophet and teacher. The lack of sources was the reason that until the mid-19th and early 20th century, almost nothing concrete is known about their functions, rights and obligations. The situation has changed remarkably in the second half of the 19th century thanks to the discovery of the ancient Christian literature monuments called Didache - Teaching of the Twelve Apostles, and the Shepherd of Hermas. Thanks to the testimonies contained therein, we are able to compile the image of functions apostle, prophet and teacher. That issues, associated with these early Christian functions is the subject of research in the following text.
