Summary/Abstract: In this article, the authors of the monograph Domestic Judicial Treatment of European Court of Human Rights Case Law: Beyond Compliance (KOSAŘ, D. et al. Routledge, 2020) respond to the essays of commentators included in this symposium. We reinstate the fundamental building blocks of the monograph and elaborate some of the book’s arguments on the background of the commentator’s essays. The article reflects on the critical points raised by the commentators. The first part explains the methodological basis of our approach to the judicial treatment of ECtHR case law. The second part elaborates on how to integrate commentators' comments into the framework developed in the monograph. Finally, the article invites a discussion on how to follow up with research on the treatment of the ECHR and the ECtHR case law in domestic settings.
