Summary/Abstract: In order to counteract the hostile activities of the anti-communist exile against the authorities in Bucharest, the Securitate implemented the so-called „active measures” within the Romanian emigration for „infiltrating the main organizations and bodies leading the Romanian reactionary emigration, in order to disintegrate them”. Given the dissensions within the legionary emigration, the Securitate adopted a „plan of measures” in order to recruit Traian Boeru. Because of his involvementin the assassination of the great historian Nicolae Iorga and the economist Virgil Madgearu, Boeru was frequently accused and later isolated from most former „comrades” and especially from the Simian wing. Therefore, Traian Boeru showed his willingness to work with the Security, becoming an agent of influence of the D.I.E., with the main mission to supervise the legionary groups in the West and to „torpedo” any initiative to reconcile or reunify the legionary factions. In the Securitate files, we identify Traian Boeru by several conspiratorial names: „Iorgu”, „Pascu”, „Raul”
