Summary/Abstract: Research on Computer-Assisted Language Learning, foreign language learning in particular, shows that the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) is beneficial for the development of learners’ communicative competence. This paper presents the purpose, object, methodological basis and expected results of the ongoing research on this topic. Building on a brief review of the literature this study is aimed at proving the efficiency of multimedia for the development of communicative competence of students studying English for Specific Purposes
