Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to investigate the attitudes of teachers towards individuals with special needs in terms of different variables. The sample of the study consisted of 468 primary and secondary school teachers working in the city center of Siirt during the fall semester of the 2017-2018 academic year. The study was carried out applying the general survey model, one of the survey models. “An Attitude Scale Towards Individuals with Special Needs” developed by Yarali (2015) was used as the data collection tool for the study. The Mann Whitney U test and the Kruskal Wallis test were used to compare the averages in the study. As a result of the research, significant differences were found in the attitudes of the teachers towards the special needs individuals according to the variables of the presence of individuals with special needs in the family or environment, seniority and branch of the teachers. However, no significant difference was found in the attitudes of teachers towards individuals with special needs in terms of gender and teaching grade variables.
