Summary/Abstract: In the imposant military tomb from the space of Gorna Porta – Ohrid fourteen spears in the military context were found, which according there specific in shape of the peak and the lenght can be devided in three groups. Dominate type is a thinner and elongate leaf shape that is probably been in function of stabbing spears. Some of them have decoration. Also, from the s/w cemetary of the archaeological site Isar – Marvinci seven spears were found and most of them according their specifics are stabbing spears too. Chronology of both groups is betwen the late archaic and Hellenistic period. The assumptions about the number of the spears in the standard military equipment of the soldiers in the early antique moving from two to three, from which one is the main spear for direct frontal stubbing and the others have a function as a throwing projectiles. In a constelation where the sources about the practicle use value of the spears are scarce only with furture experiments and tests, precised conclusions about their function and distinction can be made.
