Topicalities of Intercultural Education in the World of Schools

Summary/Abstract: In the era of globalization schools have to face new challenges all over the world. By today the interaction of various peoples and ethnic groups, and the possibility of their regularly meeting each other through work and education has greatly increased. Children more and more often gain personal experiences of cultures, customs and traditions differing from their own. The role of learning has immensely grown in value, and the value of certain competencies has particularly increased. The quality of what and how we learn or teach cannot be an indifferent matter. New demands have to be met concerning education all over the world. Foreign language learning, IT skills, social and intercultural competences have gained a significant role in the education of children.
