An Analysis of Job Advertisements for Aviation Management Students

Summary/Abstract: The aviation is one of the most popular and attracted sectors in today and attracts the curiosity of everyone in every age. It is also in the forefront for young generation career goals. To achieve this goal, there are graduate programs related to aviation. The aim of this study is to present a general employment situation by examining related job advertisements for graduates of aviation management programs with content analysis method. As a result of analyzing of 165 job advertisements between March and August, to be more precise employers demand at least 1-year work experience, good command of English and computer skills. In addition, the study reveals the number of associate and undergraduate programs related to aviation management in Turkey and the number of students that expected to graduate from these programs. In the light of this information, presents a general assessment about aviation sector, higher education institutions and students.
