Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present research was to adapt and validate the Couples Satisfaction Index (CSI-4) in Turkish population. The study comprised 670 individuals (517 women, 77.2%; 153 men, 22.8%) who are currently being in a romantic relationship. The ages of the participants ranged from 18 to 59 (M = 25.66; sd = 8.12). The mean relationship length was 57.33 months (sd = 78.48) and ranged from 1 to 444 months, with a median of 24.5 months. The Demographic Information Form, the Couples Satisfaction Index, the Perceived Romantic Relationship Quality Scale, and the Subjective Vitality Scale were used as instruments. The findings indicated that original one-factor structure of the CSI-4 was confirmed in Turkish population and had criterion-related validity. The Cronbach’s alpha and test-retest reliability coefficients were .93 and .71, respectively. The results of the measurement invariance tests indicated that the factor structure and loadings of the CSI-4 were invariant across marital status. In conclusion, the present findings provide evidence that the CSI-4 is a short, valid, and reliable instrument to assess romantic relationship satisfaction in Turkish couples.
