EC2U – European Campus of City-Universities consisting of seven universities

Summary/Abstract: Following the approval of the European Campus of City-Universities (EC2U) project, within the call launched by the European Commission in October 2019, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi (UAIC) is a member of the EC2U University Alliance, along with six other universities with a long tradition in education and research, members of the Coimbra Group: Universities of Coimbra (Portugal), Jena (Germany), Pavia (Italy), Poitiers (project coordinator, France), Salamanca (Spain) and Turku (Finland). The seven partner universities are equally responsible for creating an alliance that can lead to the development of the European campus, while maintaining its individuality. At the institutional level, the impact of this type of project will be reflected in a greater visibility of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași internationally and in increasing UAIC's participation in international education and research projects, Romania's first modern university contributing to forming a new model of quality education in an inclusive civic society.
