Summary/Abstract: In Hungary, the conditions for emerge of the dance education system were formed in the middle of the 20th century. In 1950 the State Ballet Institute was created as a high school. In 1975, it became a higher educational institute, from 1983 a college and, in 1990, the school was renamed as Hungarian Dance Academy. In 2006 the academy structure was changed into Bologna-system (BA and MA level), and at least in 2017, the academy became a university. In this paper, we examine the institution's education system from 2006 till 2020 explaining details of courses, levels, and education forms. Former State Ballet Institute is now a multiliterate dance training university.
