About the concept of “spiritual experience” in Adorno's late work

Summary/Abstract: In this paper I elaborate on a somewhat cryptic notion of the late Adornian thinking, on the notion of ‘intellectual experience’ [geistige Erfahrung]. I argue that this concept plays a crucial role in understanding the deeper motives of Adorno’s critique of Enlightenment and reveals a utopic potential in his thinking.
