Summary/Abstract: This article presents a study on the expectations of businesses on interns. Businesses take many criteria into consideration when choosing a trainee. These criteria are very important. Job opportunities for students are usually offered at the end of the internship. Interns who want to take advantage of this opportunity must comply with the criteria of their workplaces. As a result of this study, it is seen that businesses accept trainees with technical and professional knowledge suitable for team work. In addition, the issue of pay has been shown as an insignificant criterion. It is observed that the level of satisfaction of the enterprises trainees after the internship is low. It was emphasized that the lack of teamwork. Businesses emphasized that the level of vocational education and professional ethics is important when choosing a trainee. As a result, it is seen that while businesses accept trainees, they prefer individuals who will adapt to teamwork and have a professional and ethical responsibility.
