Summary/Abstract: The article sums up the state of research on the ancient Graeco-Roman harbor town as for the year 2005. It presents the remains of the main town square and the district of private houses,as well as early church, which have been investigated and preserved by a double archaeological and conservation and preservation mission ever since the site’s discovery in the late 1980s. The description of the cemetery covers all the main tomb types, including unique pillar tombs and huge hypogea with aboveground mausolea, and discusses the dierent mortuary traditions manifested in the architecture, decoration, nature of the burials and grave accompaniments.
