Summary/Abstract: In the article the author deals with the part of the material relating to archival documents from the holdings of Senj City Museum and the State Archive in Rijeka, in connection with the steamboat lines between Senj and Rijeka, in the first two decades of the 20th century. The focus is on the documents that show the process in the formation of the Croatian Steamboat Society of Senj, relationships with its competitors, especially the Croatian-Hungarian Steamboat Society from Rijeka, and the correspondence between the Senj Steamboat Society and the Maritime Administration in Rijeka. The article's emphasis is specifically on the dissatisfaction of Senj's shipping company due to the conditions towards them from Rijeka's administration. Chronologically presented are the creations of Senj steamboats from the 1870s until the end of the First World War.
