Summary/Abstract: The process of emigration of the Turks from People’s Republic of Macedonia after Second World War, was initiated by political and religious reasons. Emigration began in 1951 and until 1959 approximately 143.000 muslims emigrated in Turkey. Although migration was supported by the Turkish government, a group of deputies of the Turkish Parliament was against it. These deputies were nationalist-minded, thinking that the Balkans is part of Turkish ethnic territory. During the 1959 they have had taken more action to persuade government to change position of the migration of the Turks. But their nationalist policy was not accepted by the official Turkish authorities.
