Summary/Abstract: As an introductory overview of the history of Cluj-Napoca, some data are given in the following in key words, which are important for understanding the historical context and which will be discussed in this article. They are largely limited to the history and culture of the Transylvanian Saxons in this multi-ethnic and multi-confessional city.
