Summary/Abstract: In IT age, i.e. digital economy, information, and knowledge (explicit and tacit) possessed by a business system are the basic resources for creating new added value needed to achieve and maintain a competitive advantage in the global market. This paper will cover intellectual capital, intellectual capital management, and generation of knowledge (knowledge acquisition and development) in modern business systems.
