Summary/Abstract: The discovery of some walls in the south-western part of the churchyard of Domnița Bălașa during the preventive excavations in 2020 determined us to continue the research and to find out more data about the newly unveiled building. Thus, after studying the old plans, we found out that around the church, in the 19th century, a building appeared, erected in the 18th century by Domnița Bălașa, the daughter of Constantin Brâncoveanu. The information we have about this has indicated to us that we are dealing with the cells of the church in which the Women's Asylum functioned for a period of time, as it appears from the inscription of the second church. During the research, we revealed 13 walls and 10 rooms -. At this point the walls we have discovered indicate a building with two rows of rooms arranged on both sides of a central hall. The entries suggest that one could move from one room to another. All these clues make us attribute the archeological vestiges discovered to church cells.
